Contact Information: 231-839-4971
Art Description: painting- oil, acrylic; sculpture- wood, plaster, bronze.
Traditional realism, meticulously detailed, 2 dimensional, a depth that can’t be shown in a photograph. I produced custom arts for the patron. Realism is my style with studies/ sketches loose and freely executed while finished works display meticulous attention to detail, atmosphere and meaningful texture.
Biography: Originally self taught, formal studies, medical and artists anatomy, still and motion photography (US Army), drawing and painting (Detroit Arts & Crafts), drawing and sculpture (University of North Carolina, Ashville.) I produce drawings, paintings and sculptures through observation and analysis, using traditional techniques and guided by the principles of mastery, not serendipitous success. Realism can be extremely expressive and emotional with control, presentation and subtlety as well as vibrancy. Part of the Artist’s responsibility is to produce a given set of criteria from nothing through his or her ability to control the media in which he or she works.
