Fall Fever Festival - September 24th - 25th

Celebrate fall in downtown Cadillac, family fun activities in-store, on Harris Street and various locations throughout town. Currently events include: car show, bounce houses for the kids, doggie show, family style games, mascot contest, music, local food and farmers on hand to buy your fall harvest goodies. Cadillac Heritage Labor Day 10k Run

  • 2010 marks the 38th running of the “Cadillac Labor Day l0k”, the longest continually held 10k race in Michigan. In the past the race has served as the State Championship race for the Road Runners of America, Michigan chapter. Located at the Cadillac Veteran's Memorial Stadium in front of the Cadillac High School.

Easter Egg Hunt & Unscramble - April 2-4

The Downtown Cadillac Association in partnership with the Cadillac Jaycees invites everyone to celebrate Easter in Downtown Cadillac this coming weekend.

We kick of Easter weekend on Friday, April 2, with the Easter Egg Unscramble in over 35 downtown Cadillac businesses. Participants can pick up an Easter Egg Unscramble Entry Form at any of the businesses showing a one foot tall Egg in their front window. Then, search throughout downtown to find the letters on paper eggs hidden inside the participating businesses, find the letters, unscramble the phrase and enter to win! Over $1000 of prizes will be given away at 5pm Saturday, final drawing to be held at Brinks Art & Framing at 4:30pm. The Easter Egg Unscramble runs both Friday and Saturday, need not be present to win – you just have to unscramble the letters.

Saturday morning, April 3, the Cadillac Jaycees “No Egg Left Behind” Egg hunt kicks off at 11am sharp, in the City Park. All participants 12 and under will receive a special goodie bag after they collect all of the eggs in the city park (please arrive early). The City of Cadillac Fire Departmen t fire trucks will be at the City Park from 10am -12noon with hot chocolate and donuts to entertain the children. Random participants will receive special prizes from select downtown businesses such as Toy Town, The Gospel Bookstore and others.  A special appearance from the Easter Bunny during the Egg Hunt and in Downtown Cadillac until 2pm will ensure a happy day for all!

Art is Blooming in Downtown Cadillac. Various Cadillac Area Artists are showcasing their talents in Downtown Cadillac Businesses. Art will be on display from May 1 - 29 in downtown storesNEW - the “Art Walk - Art & Wine Showcase” on May 6, from 6 - 10pm at the Historical Cobbs & Mitchell Building* - meet with Showcase Artists, buy their art, take a tour of the historic landmark, tantalize your taste buds with wine and mingle with fellow art & history enthusiasts. Tickets are $25 per person, see Brinks Art & Framing, The Shay Station, Tom Taylor/Coldwell Banker, or Doug Brown/Chemical Bank for tickets. ‘Meet the Artist' on May 29th, (Memorial Day Weekend) from 10am - 4pm throughout downtown Cadillac stores - artists on-site and in the stores to meet, discuss and sell their art. We will additionally host art vendor booths on Harris Street. (booths are still available) The Art Walk is a month of art in downtown Cadillac that will surely tantalize your art taste buds! watercolor • acrylic & oil paintings • mix media • glass etching • wood carvings • music • literature • fabrics and more • Snacks and refreshments • Artwork on display starting May 1st

Celebrate Independence Day in Cadillac on July 3 kicking off with the Footliters parade, five Live Bands at the Rotary Performing Arts Pavilion, three Bounce Houses and Dynamite the Clown for the kids, a bike decorating contest, Cadillac Sands volleyball tournament, downtown in-store activities, and food vendors on Harris Street to include a BlueWare BBQ, cotton candy and other tasty local food. Celebrate from 1pm to 10pm in the Cadillac City Park, leading up to Fireworks on Lake Cadillac at dusk. Bring your family, chairs and blankets to enjoy music and our independence in the park.
